“I’m Open To Leave Old Trafford” — Wayne Rooney

The Manchester United legend  has reportedly asked his representatives to consider his future options.

The Manchester United star yesterday broke the Red Devils’ goalscoring record.

Rooney netted his 250th goal for the Premier League giants, surpassing Sir Bobby Charlton’s tally.

The England ace has been in and out of the United team under Jose Mourinho and has become a bit-part player.

According to The Sun, Rooney has told his team to assess his options after he leaves Old Trafford – with a huge offer from China imminent.

A source in China told the newspaper: “Wayne loves playing for United and has pretty much achieved everything in the game.

“But he knows the time comes for everyone to leave so he’s asked his team to consider what options he has.

“And China is becoming more and more of a draw for a lot of top class players thanks to the money on offer.”

Rooney’s contract runs out next summer. He has spent 13 years at United and made more than 550 appearances for the club.

Oscar Scores On Shanghai Debute

The Brazilian made an immediate impression as he came on as a sub in a friendly, first scoring the opening goal and then having a hand in the second.

The 25-year-old switched to the Chinese Super League earlier in the month, when he was captured for £60 million from Chelsea, but the Brazilian attacker has hinted he will justify his £20m-per-year wages by netting on his first appearance for the club.

“I only trained for two days and this is my first game. This is the start of a new season and we had only one goal, which was to win the game,” he told the media.

“My team-mates played very well today. The Chinese guys tried to help us integrate. It’s difficult to have a good game in such a short time but they made it happen.”

Oscar is one of a number of high-profile acquisitions this January for CSL clubs. Belgium international midfielder Axel Witsel has also moved to the league, joining Tianjin Quanjian, while Carlos Tevez’s move to Shanghai Shenhua has reportedly made him the best paid footballer ever.

Chelsea Midfielder All Set To Join Chinese Club Tianjin Teda

Nigerian midfielder, John Obi Mikel, is all set to leave Chelsea in January to join the Chinese Super League according to reports.

Mikel has agreed a three-year contract with Tianjin Teda. He is ready to join the Chinese club, where he will earn around €8-9m per season.

Mikel, 29, has not played a single match this season under Antonio Conte, and doesn’t feature in the first team plans of the Chelsea manager. The Nigerian has dropped down the pecking order at the club behind N’Golo Kanté, Nemanja Matić, and Cesc Fàbregas, and is yet to make the bench this season. He has made over 370 appearances for the club, and has won two Premier League titles and the Champions League with the Blues.

He would become the second player to have joined the Chinese Super League this season from Chelsea, with the Blues having already offloaded Oscar last month.
