Mourinho Ready To Sell This Quality Player

According to reports, Manchester United boss has grown tired of Luke Shaw’s lack of progress at Manchester United and will be open to listening to offers for the 21 year old during the summer transfer window.

It is thought that Totenham Hotspur and Chelsea are keeping tabs on his progress.

Shaw has only made seven Premier League appearances this term and last played in November.

Jose Mourinho is a manager who is not scared off selling high profile players as he did with Juan Mata, who he sold to Manchester United when he was managing Chelsea in 2014.

Costa Demands £300k-a-week Contract

Express Sport understands Costa intends to snub a new deal and wants to quit Chelsea in the summer.

However, since holding clear-the-air talks with Conte this week, he apparently agreed to a truce so long as negotiations over a pay rise are reopened.

With Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian ready to pay the Spain international £30m a year, a hefty increase in Diego Costa’s salary is required at Stamford Bridge.

According to The Sun, Costa wants Chelsea to double his pay to £300,000 a week.

However, the Blues are holding firm, and Roman Abramovich will not be forced to let the 28-year-old go or give him whatever he wants.

Chelsea have apparently agreed to improve Costa’s terms in west London, but will only go as far as offering £225,000 a week on a five-year contract.

That would keep the striker at Stamford Bridge until he’s 33, and the deal would also include bonuses on top of the basic salary.

Dele Alli Ends Chelsea’s Winning Streak

The young England international scored a brace as Tottenham Hotspur beat Chelsea 2-0 in London on Wednesday to torpedo the Premier League leaders’ hopes of a record 14th consecutive victory.

Chelsea were bidding to become the first team to win 14 successive games within the same English top-flight season, but Alli’s goals, both set up by Christian Eriksen, brought them down to earth.

“We were competitive against a team in very good form, one of the best in Europe, and we feel very proud and pleased because the performance was very solid,” said Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea must content themselves with having equalled Arsenal’s season record of 13 wins in a row from 2001-02 and they remain five points clear of second-place Liverpool.

But the end of their winning streak will give hope to their pursuers, not least Tottenham, who rose above Manchester City and Arsenal to third place in the table, seven points below the leaders.

Alli, 20, has now scored braces in three successive games and his latest double allowed Pochettino’s men to register a fifth win in a row — their best such run in nearly a year.
