Swansea City Will host Leicester City at the Liberty Stadium, home to the Swans, in the 25th round of the English premiership this season
Swansea come into this game with some great form and motivation behind them winning 3 out of their last 5 games in all Premier League under new manager Paul Clement. The strong performances against Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Southampton showcases the great attacking potential that this team has where they netted 7 goals in those 3 outings. In last week’s outing against Manchester City, they gave the Citizens a tough fight and almost drew the game 1-1 if it was not for a late City equalizer. Swansea will rely heavily on Gylfi Sigurdsson and Fernando Llorente to continue their goal scoring form as they have been. Swansea’s defense has been shambolic as their games land them conceding in all bar one game in the Premier League. They will look to home comforts in this game against a Leicester City side who have yet to win a game away from home in 12 league games.
Leiceter, on the other side, is having very poor season so far, as the current champion of England is just a point above the relegation zone and the team needs to improve a lot in order to completely avoid any kind of relegation troubles towards the end of the season.
They got completely outplayed by Manchester United in front of own fans last weekend with a 0:3 result, without showing much of competivity during the match. Players of United took the double lead towards the end of the first halftime via Mkhitaryan and Ibrahimovic, while they increased the lead via Mata in 49th, leaving players of Leicester without further respond as the hosts did very little in attack. On Wednesday evening the team managed to get a victory over Derby County in the FA Cup, but only after overtime with a 3:1 result in front of own fans.
I think the Swans have what it takes to win this match, or get a draw, or entirely resist being defeated in front of their own fans at home. But considering the goals scoring and conceding forms of both of the teams, I think we’ll get to see a couple of goals here.
