Arsenal Fans Sell Their Tickets For Bayern Munich Return Fixture

Following Arsene wenger and the squad’s miserable defeat in Munich, some fans have put their tickets for the second-leg against Bayern Munich up for sale.

The return tie was sold out before Wednesday’s “crucifixion”, but some seats became available just a few minutes after full-time.

And now there are many free areas in the North Bank and West Stand for Arsenal members.

One can assume that there will be a lot of empty seats at the Emirates on March 7 when Arsenal hosts Bayern Munich for the second leg.

Champions League; Bayern Munich Vs Arsenal Preview And Football Soccer Prediction

Today will surely be lit at the Alianz Arena where Bayern will host Arsenal for this UCL fixture.

It is well known that between these two, there’s been a lot of “scores settlings” in the past years with both sides facing each other in this particular round, and Arsenal usually giving way for the Germans to proceed to the next stage.

I doubt that will be the story this time, but who knows, it’s football.

Bayern are at the top of the Bundesliga table, which is nothing new. They are coming in great form, having won ten out of the last eleven competitive games, with just one draw. However they haven`t been very convincing lately, beating Werder and Freiburg 2:1, drawing against Schalke 1:1, and beating Wolfsburg 1:0 in DFB Cup. Also, on Saturday they won on their visit to Ingolstadt 2:0, but with both of their goals coming in stoppage time. Of course they were the better team in that game, but it wouldn`t have been unfair if Ingolstadt took a point. They will be missing injured Boateng and Ribery.

Arsenal are just the same. Same Wenger boys we’ve known for the past decade. Just when they put up a good run followed by good performances, they lose to some below-average team like Watford. It’s pretty unfortunate for both the players and fans of this once great club, that they can’t achieve more than they did when Henry was with them. The closest they’ve gone to lifting the premier league trophy since Henry’s departure was last season when they finished 2nd with 10 points less than Leicester City the winners.

Bayern are clear favourites for this game, given their home-field advantage, and the fact that they have more quality team. However, both teams have not been convincing lately, and anything could happen here. Bayern have been a lot more successful in recen years in their head-to-head meetings, with last game finishing 5:1 for Bayern, a season ago. Arsenal will be determined to get back to Bayern, but Bayern will hardly allow that. Given the recent results of the teams, I think that both teams should make their mark here. Both teams scored in every game from November till now, and I think they will continue in the same fashion here.

I Would Love To Sign Wilshere — Howe

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe says he would love to sign Jack Wilshere permanently from Arsenal

The England international joined Bournemouth on a season-long loan in August, after being allowed to leave Arsenal by manager Arsene Wenger in search of first-team football.

Speaking to SkySports on Thursday, the 25-year-old midfielder stated that he would not make a decision on his future until the end of the season and is focused on maintaining Bournemouth’s Premier League status.

But when asked about the possibility of signing Wilshere on a permanent deal, Howe said: “We would love that to happen.

“I can’t rate Jack enough as a footballer, as a person, how he has come into the team and what he has delivered for us, but there has been no discussion with Arsenal.

“As I see it, Jack is on loan for the season and then we will look at it and Jack will look at it.”

Wilshere, who has been blighted by a series of injuries in the past few seasons, has been a permanent fixture in Howe’s side this campaign, making 21 appearances and registering two assists.

Arsenal’s £50m Target Eyes Chelsea Move

A‌rsnal long-term target Álvaro Morata, has reportedly informed Real MADRID that he wants to join Premier League giants, Chelsea, in the summer.

The Real Madrid striker has not only told his close friends about his desire to move abroad, but has also informed the club’s coaching staff and board members that he will leave Madrid at the end of the season.

Morata re-joined Madrid in the summer, but has struggled to get regular games as he is often forced to play second fiddle to Karim Benzema, which has left the player frustrated.

Morata, reportedly, is a fan of Antonio Conte, the Chelsea manager, and wants to join the Blues next summer. Conte has made a huge impact since his arrival, and has taken Chelsea to the top of the Premier League after 24 games. Arsenal are also reportedly interested, but it seems Morata is keen to join the other London club instead.

According to reports from Gol Diario, the striker has been in contact with the Chelsea manager, with whom he maintains a good relationship. It was Conte who set up his move to Juventus before departing to take charge of the Italy national team.

If Morata’s situation doesn’t improve drastically, which doesn’t seem likely, Real Madrid would be left with no option but to negotiate a deal with the Blues According to reports from the Telegraph, Los Blancos would demand a fee in the region of £50m for the striker.

Arsenal Star Questions Arsene Wenger’s Decisions After Chelsea Humiliation

Laurent Koscielny has questioned Arsene Wenger’s team selection following Arsenal’s dismal showing in the 3-1 defeat at the hands of Chelsea last Saturday.

The Gunners were gunned down by their rivals and current league leaders and the French defender believes it was a combination of team selection and the players not performing as a unit that led to their downfall at Stamford Bridge.

Wenger made some questionable choices when he selected Alex Iwobi ahead of Danny Welbeck. The former Manchester United striker in his first start this season against Southampton a week earlier, and it should have earned him a place ahead of the Nigerian forward.

Gabriel started for Arsenal against Watford with Wenger stating that the Brazilian was preferred to regular starter Hector Bellerin due to the height advantage he provides. The Spaniard returned to the starting XI against Chelsea and it was his lack of height that allowed Marcos Alonso to open the scoring.

The Arsenal last man admits that the north London club’s title chances are all but over, but has urged his team to get back to winning ways and put up more of a fight in the coming games.

“I think we played some players in front of others and I think we should have played more as a team and there was space to do so. They hit us on the counter,” Koscielny said, as quoted by the Mirror.

“It will be difficult now. Mathematically, nothing is done but we know that it is going to be very complicated.

“We need to come back to the quality of our game, our passing, movement,” the France international added.
