Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe says he would love to sign Jack Wilshere permanently from Arsenal
The England international joined Bournemouth on a season-long loan in August, after being allowed to leave Arsenal by manager Arsene Wenger in search of first-team football.
Speaking to SkySports on Thursday, the 25-year-old midfielder stated that he would not make a decision on his future until the end of the season and is focused on maintaining Bournemouth’s Premier League status.
But when asked about the possibility of signing Wilshere on a permanent deal, Howe said: “We would love that to happen.
“I can’t rate Jack enough as a footballer, as a person, how he has come into the team and what he has delivered for us, but there has been no discussion with Arsenal.
“As I see it, Jack is on loan for the season and then we will look at it and Jack will look at it.”
Wilshere, who has been blighted by a series of injuries in the past few seasons, has been a permanent fixture in Howe’s side this campaign, making 21 appearances and registering two assists.
