Arsenal go against stoke in the EPL for their 15th game of the season.
It looks like a great season so far for Arsenal, who crowned up the UCL group stage as leaders with a 4-1 victory over Swiss side FC Basel away from home.
With just one loss so far in the competition (on opening day against Liverpool), they’re looking to lift the trophy this time even though they’re second placed with three points below the table toppers Chelsea.
With the recent victories (5-1 win against West Ham, 3-1 win against Bournemouth, 4-1 against Basel) the team confirmed their good form and also their great offensive performances.
The Gunners completely dominated the match against West Ham last weekend, as the team took the lead in 24th minute with a goal from Ozil, but also dominated the second half and easily approached towards the end of the game with goals from Sanchez (72nd and 80th minute), while the home team managed to reduce the deficit in 83rd via a Carrol goal, but lacked concentration in their defense and conceded two more in the next three minutes.
Midfielder Santi Cazorla continues to be injured, as well as defenders Hector bellerin, Per Mertesacker, Mathieu Debuchy and forward Yaya Sanogo. With “just out of injury” Danny Welbeck not ready to make a return.
Stoke City the visitors for this clash did have a good run of games, winning 5 of their last 7 and climbing up to 9th from the relegation zone after 7 matches. However, this run is a bit deceiving – because they had a very favourable run of matches, basically playing the bottom 7 teams in the league. But they still have the credits for scoring in 11 of the 12 games and won 5 of their last 7 games, which can be considered an excellent form in a league as big as the English Premier League.
Arsenal are in an amazing form at the moment and I will be going with their momentum here.
The visitors have in every way over performed in the previous weeks and shouldn’t be able to stay competitive here for whole ninety minutes against the gunners.
So I expect this game to end with Arsenal winning with over 3 goals.
